Watson District

Today, Watson is a sad and desperate place. It’s one of Night City’s poorest districts and it’s a battleground between Maelstrom and Tyger Claws. Watson’s sub-districts include Little China, Kabuki, Northside Industrial District (NID) and Arasaka Waterfront.

During the Rebuilding, wealthy Japanese corps had big plans for the district and spent millions. The Watson District had skyscrapers, nightclubs, a medical center, and it’s own industrial section – the NID. Arasaka Corp had their own plans however, and warred with the Wastson corps, leaving them in ruins.

Watson has never been the same. The industrial center shut down, workers lost jobs, and Arasaka took over. Now Watson is nothing more than a living area for low-income factory employees who still work in the NID’s few remaining active factories.

NCPD Threat Level

WARNING: The Night City Police Department’s current threat level for Watson is: EXTREME. Gang-related crime is rampant, especially in Kabuki.

Little China

In the late 2040’s this subdistrict was flooded with Asian immigrants—mainly from China. During the decades that followed, Little China became densely overpopulated and its exclusive tone became more ethnic.

Little China is one of the poorest areas of Night City, but there is still some variety here — illegal gambling dens, mixed with legitimate businesses and strip clubs.

Kabuki

Kabuki is connected to the famous Med Center and initially was very prosperous. Nowadays, with the corporations dissovled by Arasaka, Kabuki is one of the poorest subdistricts in Night City.

Kabuki after dark brings out many Black Market enthusiasts dealing in all kinds of illegal goods and services. Implants, organs, combat drugs, synth-viruses and illegal braindance recordings to name just a few.

The Tyger Claws maintain some presence in the area, as does Maelstrom, and the Mox. The Mox can be found at a local favorite club Lizzie’s Bar.

Northside Industrial District (NID)

Once Watson’s most successful factory subdistrict, now neglected and non-functional. “No one likes the look or the smell of the NID.” NID is also home to the Maelstrom gang, so tread carefully.

Arasaka Waterfront

The Arasaka Waterfront is an important link in this mega corporation’s supply chain across Night City and beyond. Hundreds of shipments come through the port every month. The entire property is a bulwark on reinforced walls, razor wire and armored gun turrets, built by Arasaka to control theft and meddlesome reporters.
