Cyberpunk 2077 Smart Weapons
Smart Weapons use guided missile technology to track targets in real time. These weapons can hit enemies who are actively dodging or fleeing from your attacks that would otherwise normally miss. With Smart Weapons you can also aim around cover.
Cyberpunk 2077 Smart Weapons List
Cyberpunk 2077 includes Smart Weapon versions of most regular weapons in the game with the exclusion of blades and blunt melee weapons. If you can shoot it, there’s probably a Smart Weapon version!

Smart Weapon Ammo In Cyberpunk 2077
Smart Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 use the same ammo as standard weapons. So a Smart Shotgun will use standard shotgun shells, a Smart Pistol will use standard Pistol Ammo, and a Smart Sniper Rifle will use standard Sniper Rounds.
How To Use Smart Weapons In Cyberpunk 2077
Smart Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 use missile guided technology to seek out and destroy targets in real time. In order to use the Smart-Targeting feature built into Smart Weapons you must also equip the Smart Link cyberware in your active hands slot. Without the Smart Link cyberware installed Smart Weapons will function only as a normal weapon with no added targeting effects.

Smart Weapons vs Tech Weapons In Cyberpunk 2077
Both Smart Weapons and Tech Weapons are very strong options in Cyberpunk 2077 so you may be wondering which option is better. For most builds, Tech Weapons are going to be the best option. This is because so many Perks exist exclusively for Tech Weapons but not for Smart Weapons.
For example, in the Engineering Skill Tree you can increase your Crit Damage, Charge Multiplier, ignore all enemy armor and increase overall damage by 25% for Tech Weapons but not for Smart Weapons. On the other hand, the only Perk specifically for Smart Weapons found in the Engineering Skill Tree simply reduces Smart Weapon reload speed by up to 10%.
