What Weapons Are In Cyberpunk 2077?

Cyberpunk 2077 includes melee weapons such as Katanas and guns such as Handguns and Rifles. Guns in Cyberpunk 2077 can be further categorized into Power Weapons, Tech Weapons and Smart Weapons.

Melee Weapons

The most prominent melee weapon so far in Cyberpunk 2077 is the Katana. Katanas improve with the Blades Skill. Other melee weapons include more blunt instruments such as Batons, Bats and Sledgehammers. Blunt weapons can be improved with the Street Brawler Skill.

How Does Your Weapon Skill Improve?

While there are some FPS elements present in Cyberpunk 2077, it’s important to remember that the game is an RPG above all else, and character progression, skill tree levels and perk choices matter. For example, when first starting the game all characters will have lower accuracy and slower reload times to reflect the players low skill level.

As you continue using your weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 to defeat enemies, the corresponding weapon skill line will level up over time. With higher skill level in a specific skill line comes greater Perks which will improve things like weapon sway and reload time.

Where Are Weapons Found In Night City?

Weapons can be found everywhere! Players can buy Weapons from local vendors, obtain weapons from loot caches or take them from fallen enemies.

Weapon Rarity

Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 follow a typical item rarity system, with Weapons increasing in power based on rarity rank. Legendary weapons possess unique abilities that cannot be found on any other weapon in the game.

  • Common

  • Unusual

  • Rare

  • Epic

  • Legendary

Weapon Modifications

Two basic types of Weapon Modifications exist. They are:

  • Attachments. This includes Scopes, Silencers and so on. You can see this physically added to your weapon.

  • Software Mods. These are small chips that you can install in a weapon to change the overall statistics of the weapon fundamentally. Examples include Biochemical and non-lethal rounds.
